About

I’m Surajit Sarkar, and for over thirty years, I’ve dedicated my life to childhood education and emotional development. Born in West Bengal, my journey into education began in 1994, driven by a passion to make a difference. Two years later, I founded the Golden Childhood Institution in Maynaguri, where we focus on holistic child development. Our approach emphasizes emotional intelligence, helping young learners navigate their feelings while growing academically and socially.

Science, positive psychology, medical hypnosis, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) form the roots of my background. This blend has equipped me to understand and address the emotional and psychological needs of children with a deep sense of empathy. I also hold a Fellowship in Cardiac Rehabilitation from Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to be part of several prestigious organizations, including the National Career Counselling Institute, the Counsellors Council of India, and the British Society of Experimental and Clinical Hypnosis. Through my affiliation with the International Hypnosis Federation, I’ve been able to share my work on a global scale.

I’ve written three books on childhood emotional development: “Nurturing Bonds: A Handbook for Emotional Development in Early Childhood”, “Parenting with Heart: Emotional Bonds for Early Childhood Development”, and my latest work, “Emotional Edge in Parenting: Your Complete Guide to Childhood Education”. Each book reflects my belief that emotions are the cornerstone of effective parenting and education.

I also enjoy writing psychological thrillers. My two science fiction novels, “Deep Into the Mind” and “Mysteries of the Mind”, explore the human psyche’s complexities. They’ve been well-received for their gripping stories and thought-provoking themes.

When I’m not teaching, writing, or conducting workshops, I enjoy spending time with my family, serving my community, and soaking in the natural beauty of West Bengal. Helping children and families find emotional well-being remains at the heart of everything I do, and I believe that the future of education lies in nurturing the emotional growth of young minds.
